Edible QR codes

Japanese company Hertz has launched its service/product "QR Ebi-sen," which allows businesses and individuals to print QR codes on shrimp bread crackers

Using natural dye extracted from tamarind seeds, with the QR is printed on the surface of the cookies. The result is a cookie with high contrast, sufficient resolution and rich taste to be read and eaten. It is also a great giveaway for tradeshows and promotions.

We know this is one of the rarest pieces of information on this blog but it never hurts to know and you can take the opportunity to try the new Google translator (Beta) Japanese>English or stamp your QR code on a croissant.
