Why is the domain of uploaded media files starting from cdn.webapp-portal.com?

We use a content delivery network (CDN) to provide a fast user experience with low latency when downloading PDF files or other media documents.

In more detail: when you upload media files to our server the file will be distributed to various servers across the world. When a user is accessing your uploaded file, the CDN knows where the spatial closest server to that user is and delivers the media file from that server.

We only distribute media files through our CDN for customers outside Europe. For all customers in Europe, we keep all data in our data warehouse in Austria/Vienna and all media files are delivered through our datacenter. Nevertheless, our CDN partner bunny.net is fully GDRP compliant.
