What is the Google Wallet?

Google Wallet is a digital wallet application that allows you to store debit cards, credit cards, loyalty cards, and even your Business Card securely on your smartphones.

How can I open the wallet?

Open your wallet by tapping your Android Phone
Open your wallet by tapping your Android Phone's side key or choosing the wallet app from your home screen

You can assign the side key with the double-click function to open the Google Wallet app in order to have quick access to your Wallet.

Unlock your phone and click on the Google Wallet icon to access the Google Wallet App. 

What is a Digital Business Card?

A Digital Business Card is a landing page that contains your contact data and additional information about your business. 

How do I move a digital Business Card into my Google Wallet?

1. Create a digital Business Card

Login to your account to create a new Business Card or use an existing one.

2. Configure Wallet Pass 

In the Business Card editor click on the Wallet Pass section.

Within this interface, you can make adjustments to your wallet's appearance, by setting the background color

By default, the background comes pre-filled with color derived from the branding area of your Business Card.

The text color is automatically set to either black or white depending on the background color. This means that your input for the text color has no influence on the display of the Google Wallet Pass. The font color can just be used for Apple Wallet.

3. Download or send Wallet Pass

You can now download the Wallet Pass by clicking the Add to Google Wallet button.

Alternatively you can email you the Wallet Pass by clicking the Send button. Please note that the email can only be sent once a day. Open the email on your smartphone and follow the instructions.

When you receive the email click on the Add to Google Wallet button.

Make sure you are logged in to your Google Account to add Wallet Pass to your Google Wallet.

To add the Card to your Google Wallet please press the Add button.

The Google Wallet Pass is added directly to your Google Wallet. Please keep in mind that your Google Wallet Pass can be accessed on any device on which you are logged in with your Google account.

Once the pass is downloaded to your wallet, you will see the Wallet Pass in full screen on your Android Phone.

You can share your Wallet Pass also as a link in your instant messaging apps like WhatsApp, add the link in your email signature or even put the link on your website. Just click on the copy icon to save the link in the clipboard and paste it anywhere. If a user opens the link, we detect automatically if the smartphone is an Apple or Google device and send the appropriate pass.

5. Click on the Share this page button

Click on the Share this page button of your business card and add your Wallet Pass to your Google Wallet.

6. Double-tap on your profile image

Alternatively, you can double-tap on the profile image of your business card and the Wallet Pass will automatically be downloaded to your Google Wallet.

What elements are on my Google Wallet Pass?

Frontside

The frontside of your Wallet Pass displays your essential contact information, encompassing your image, the company namejob position, the first and last name, email, phone number, and a QR Code that links to your Digital Business Card.

Backside

The backside of the Google Wallet Pass shows your business, private and mobile phone numbers, as well as your full address and links to your social media profiles.

Can I use a static vCard QR Code for Google Wallet Passes?

No. To add an Google Wallet Pass to your Android Phone you need to create a Digital Business Card first.

Where can I view my google wallet pass?

Your Google Wallet Pass can be accessed independent of the operating system and on any device on which you are logged in with your Google account.

Can I set the text and background color uniformly for all Wallet Passes?

Yes. If you have a White Label account, then as an administrator of the account you can set the colors uniformly for all users Wallet Passes in the branding area. You can read how to do this in the article Branding your White Label account.

Can I use a default logo for all Google Passes?

Yes, if you have a white label account, as the administrator of the account you can activate the option in the branding area in the Wallet Pass Logo section to use the logo assigned to the white label instance for all Passes if no other logo or profile picture is available.
