How do I create a QR Code Business Card in my account?

A QR Code Business Card is a self-editable HTML landing page that displays contact information of a person or a company. It can contain more details than a typical paper business card and it allows to share links, multimedia content and call-2-action buttons.

The URL of a QR Code Business Card can be encoded on a QR Code or shared in any context. E.g. social media links, e-mail signature or a webpage.

If the QR Code Business Card meets the VCF standards (Virtual Contact File), it can be downloaded to a smartphone address-book and create a new contact automatically using the business card information. You will never need to re-print your QR Code.

Log into your account that you have already subscribed to.

All our plans include QR Code Business Cards.

Go to the sidebar landing page menu and create a new business card.

Add/update your contact info, design elements and manage the advanced features of your QR Code Business Card through the online editor.

Easily upload and update the images of your business card. Valid formats are: PNG, JPG and GIF.

We do not recommend using images wider than 600px.

Landing pages will always be displayed on a screen, so images wider than 600px will not improve the aspect of your business card. Using very large images will unnecessarily slow down the download and rendering process.

Optionally, add a crisp clear version of your company logo here. Recommended format: PNG.

It will be used as app icon if you add the business card to the Home screen of your smartphone.

Optionally, add a profile photo. Recommended format: JPG. 

It will be used as app icon if you add the business card to the Home screen of your smartphone if no company logo is available.

Optionally, add background image to your business card. Recommended format: JPG for photos, PNG for logos

​The background image of a business card is automatically scaled, fixed and centered to cover the whole background. ​Since devices can have different sizes, the ratio of the image will not always be exactly the same. ​

Optionally, you can upload an image to be displayed as a home screen icon when you add the business card to your smartphone. We recommend a PNG file with a resolution of 256x256 pixels.

• If you don't upload a home screen icon, a cropped square version of the company logo will be displayed as the home screen icon
• If no company logo has been uploaded, a cropped square version of the profile photo will be displayed as the home screen icon
• If no image is uploaded at all, the platform's logo will be displayed

Add your personal and/or company contact information. You can update it anytime and the landing page will show the new data. 

You can enter your company name, website, department and a video link. 

You can enter your phone, private phone, mobile or fax. 

When the "Show area code" is switched on, the country code is displayed in front of the phone number on the QR Code Business Card. This option will be applied to all business cards in the account.

We strictly follow the vCard standards and only these type of phones and addresses are the only ones that can be added.

You can enter up to 3 different addresses (business, private and other). The addresses will be added to the address book when the user clicks on the button "Add contact" .

Use this field to add special content or information, e.g. personal introduction or company presentation. You can add HTML tags to fine-tune how the content is displayed on the "About me" section. Max. 5000 chars.

This content will be added to the "Notes" field of your vCard when adding it to your address book.

Add the links to your different social media profiles and update them anytime. An icon and a direct link will be automatically added to your business card.

This information will be added as links on your vCard when adding it to your address book.

In order to be fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can define a link to your Imprint and Privacy Page here.

These links will be added at the footer of your QR Code Business Card landing page.

You can add call-2-action buttons on any landing page right from the editor by clicking the "Add" icon. You may link these buttons to a website, a PDF document, initiate a phone call or send an e-mail. Learn more about Call-2-Action Buttons.

Customise the look and feel of your business cards using your colors, fonts and design just by adding some CSS code. You can learn more about the possibilities in our CSS Tutorial.

Create and assign a CSS template to your current business card. Once defined, you can apply your templates to any business card on your account.

The CSS code entered will be injected into the current business card and it will be copied to the new business cards based on it.

From the account settings, you can select whether to display a QR Code redirecting to the business card itself or a direct download QR Code.

Enable/disable extra features for each of your business cards.

Specify the language in which the landing page should be displayed to the visitor. By default, the page is displayed in the language that you have specified in your account. You can overwrite the language or select to set the language depending on the browser of the visitor. If the language sent by the browser is not available, the language set in your account will be used as an alternative. 

If "Call now" button is enabled you can initiate a phone call instantly by clicking this button. You can also select which of the available phones will be dialed: phone, private phone or mobile.

If "Add to contacts" button is enabled you can add all the information of the QR Code Business Card to the phone book address as a new contact.

When this button is added, the user can click on it and display different options to share a link to the business card and display a QR Code. 

Protect your business card with a password, so only users that know it can access the contents.

Activate this option, if you don't want search engines (e.g. Google) to index your landing page.

Activate this option, if you want the user to add the contact directly to his address book after scanning.

Caution: If you activate this feature, the landing page will NOT be shown, instead a download of the vCard will be triggered instantly.

Download in any format or create a custom design QR Code of your QR Code for your business card.

Assign your own vanity URL to the QR Code (e.g. https://qr.mydomain.com/name-lastname). Please note that changing the URL after printing the QR Code, invalidates the printed QR Code.

Visualize the result of your business card in real-time on the preview pane. You need to save your changes in order to take effect on your business card.

If you are a White Label administrator the Javascript of the landing pages will be blocked for security reasons.
