More contacts, less paper. Gewista relies on digital business cards from QR Planet

Classic paper business cards have some disadvantages and often look outdated. Changes such as telephone numbers or position changes require both work and reprints. After making contact, business cards have to be manually transferred to a system and therefore often end up unused in drawers or in the trash.

Gewista, one of Austria's largest media companies and market leader in the out-of-home segment, was looking for a solution to speed up and modernize the contact process as part of the introduction of new employee ID cards.

The aim was to simplify and digitize the exchange of contact data in the long term and at the same time increase the visibility of the brand among potential customers and cooperation partners.

With the QR Code platform from QR Planet, Gewista was not only able to convert the company to digital business cards. The entire process - from creation to data maintenance - was centralized and simplified.

A digital business card is a landing page that contains contact details and business information and can be supplemented with additional content, such as a link to social media channels on LinkedIn or Instagram. The contact details can be easily shared at any time, saved in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and exchanged with any smartphone, regardless of the manufacturer.

Each employee receives a personal, dynamic QR Code on their employee ID card that links directly to their digital business card. The QR Codes and the landing pages are adapted to the corporate design.

Changes to telephone numbers, positions or e-mail addresses can be managed centrally in real time without having to change the QR Code itself.

This saves time when networking and ensures a professional appearance, whether at trade fairs, customer meetings or events.

Thanks to the flexible integration options at QR Planet, contact data can be easily imported, whether via CSV files, directly from the HR system (e.g. Bamboo, Zoho) or automatically via Microsoft Entra ID (Active Directory).
